unable to program
does anyone know if there is a wire that can be pulled to prevent programing to our trucks...
I was in the dealer getting headgaskets and studs and the tech said he pulled a wire so I could not program.. I worked at the dealer so I thought he was phucking with me but now I think it may be true I called BD and they sent me the latest update and said it must be something with the truck.... Thanks

me neither...
I will mess with it.. maybe my voltage is low or something.. I know it will not program unless the batteries are good

Never heard of it. But I have heard rumors of a new strategy that is being uploaded that is supposedly not recognizable by some programmers

You should tell that tech to shove it up you know where if he did something like that....tell him you need your port to read codes and such with a scanner

Well I have the latest calibrations from ford and thought that was it.
called BD and they sent me the 2.5.0b update and said its the latest one..... I don't know if they have the one I have. I will look on fmdealer and see if I can find any info...

I am going to get my final pay check today from the dealer so I will chat with the tech and see what he did...
I really dont think he did anything he is a buddy....I think he was just messing with me

it is possible that he pulled a wire on the backside of the obd 2 connector to allow the programmer to not read power from the vehicle , in other words the tech very well could have tampered with it , but there isnt a wire from ford just for that reason

I checked the wires on the obd port...the programmer starts to read the engine and then at 87% it stops...
I was thinking there could be a wire on the back of the ficm but I really dont think he did anything...

ok I found it he was messing with me...
he pulled the purple wire from the obd port... anyone know the pin locations or have a pdf for it..
