SCT Question.

How can I download custom tunes to my SCT when I get it?

I'm really not interested in downloading a bunch of crap on my computer because it screws up everytime. lol. (My comp doesn't have headstuds so it messes up when I run too much through it.)

But anyways, is there somewhere I can take it and have them loaded onto it?

You ahve to load the 'Live load" program onto your computer. It's been a long time since I've loaded any, but that's what I remember. Maybe you can use a work computer

You need to download the SCT live load software. It's not a big program so it shouldn't "mess" anything up. It's pretty self explanatory once you get it up.

Alright thanks y'all.

Another question, I get average 8 mpg right now with 35's. How much can I expect to get after I get my turbo back exhaust and the sct with custom tunes?

If you don't drink Dos XX's, you need to start today.

Hand calculated? Over head console mpg? Has the spedo been corrected for the tires? What kind of driving do you do? I say this and believe it. Buying a tuner for milage alone will let you down. Buy it for hp or dirveability. I didn't notice a big gain. I have gained about a 1mpg and 2 on the hiway. I think from what I have recently that ficm tuning gives the potential for a greater milage gain. When combined with a tuner more hp and more mpg. Again I wouldn't do that for just mpgs though

That is HORRIBLE mileage . The worst I've seen is probably 10-11, towing 7k through the Rockies. Something else is wrong IMO, or you're using the lieometer for you mileage reading, and you haven't made any adjustments for the bigger tires

Well I'm not. But most people on here who got an SCT with custom said they saw great increases in mpg. I drive like a teenager, I am 16. And no, the speedo has not been corrected.

And lol my truck is stock except for a tuner. So no, there have been no adjustments made. And im just going by my fuel gauge on the dash and hand calculating it.
