6.0 TURBO SUGGESTIONS
Well guys my 03 motor dumped and I am building a 04.5 6.0 motor with new bearings, rings ect...its getting a stage I cam, stage I valvetrain, chromoley push rods, ported and polished heads, ported intake manifold and 190-230cc inj (?) along with jet coated exhaust manifolds-intercooler tubes-down pipe and balanced....I need suggestions on a turbo....VGT vs. Non VGT. My 03 turbo is the 10 blade newer model with less than 900 miles on it.....thought about having it turned into a hybrid......What do you guys think will work for my combination...........Give me some feedback.......I was thinking Elite SS, II Stage 2 Hybrid, RCD 64, Trusted performance 64 ATS Auroa 4000 or a BB turbo.....where would I get the best bang for my buck.......Some say to do a vgt for spool up because I am running 40" tires with 4.88's. Keep in mind the stage I cam will increase my power band..........Please keep this thread going....

RCD 64MM....Fits great, an easy install and isn't going to break the bank.

Exactly what I have and I would highly recommend it.

I see that ATS has just came out with the 3000 and 4000 auroa VGT Turbo...The 3000 is 58mm/2.28x82mm/3.23 and supports 520hp......4000 is 65mm/2.56x88mm/3.46 and supports 650 hp....Looks pretty good and seems to be a very reasonable price..

Spool up is great, Heavyassault is talking about My truck. I'm running the 64mm from RCD

Didn't say he wasn't, but I'm also running that same turbo. |

3000 has gotten better results with Dodges then with Fords. You would be better off going with the 4000 for our truck, however, I have heard that their customer service is lacking after the sale. I would stick with RCD.

Are you referring to the non vgt 3000 and 4000....I am hearing the new vgt Auroa series is geting some pretty good results......as for size............which one to go with between the two.......not saying I am going to run one but I am considering all my options,,

The ATS vgt's work fine. They are similar to Elite's VGT-SR and VGT-SS so I wouldn't go thinking of them as some sort of breakthrough(other than the billet vgt actuator?), just another option if you prefer vgt's.
