Intake Kits

Hey Ya'll,

I'm about to get a new toy, a '05 F-350, and I wanted to take a poll and see which Intake kit you guys prefer for the 6.0.

BTW: I have a AfE intake on my OBS F-350.......

Thanks!

the Stock intake is pretty good... but if i had to choose an aftermarket intake it would def have to be the S&B intake

It'll hold well over 500 hp, but I don't think it'll hold up to 600hp. A/M air filters don't flow more air until you hit 3,700 on the tach, peak 6.0 hp comes in at 3,300, peak tq is at 2,000 well outside the range of a stock or slightly modified 6.0.

This has got to be one of the hardest things to convince people that sometimes stock is more then good enough. I would say about 90% of the people that have a/m intakes didn't need to have them on there.

The stock Donaldson filter system on the 6.0 is said to be the BEST flowing stock intake on the market, capable of flowing enough air for HP ranges over 500. Save your money and put to better use on something else for the truck

If you read that data sheet provided by S&B you will see the truth about the OEM filter. S&B gives the truth that their product is inferior to the OEM setup.

I got a drop in AFE dry air filter for my truck and noticed a big difference. They are also alot cheaper than a regular intake.

The stock intake is fine. but if you really want to get one then i'd suggest S&B or AFE. To great brands, but stay far far away from a K&N!
