Oil Bypass Filtration....which one

I am looking at installing an oil bypass filtration system. There are several on the market, just wanted to hear what you guys thought about the bypass your running.

Wouldn't you really rather build one yourself? Then you'd know how to install it, and you wouldn't need any vendor support!

I run a Gulf Coast bypass filter. Not cheap but a long reputation running on big rigs. In a pinch you can use a roll of paper towels for a filter. I am happy with mine.

I run the Oil Guard setup and have been very happy with the quality of the kit.

The purpose is to filter the motor oil down to 1 micon, this helps to increase engine and injector life.

I am currently building my own with stuff off of ebay. Got almost everything I need minus the filters and I am less then $20 in to it! I went will a duel filter mount!

Does anyone know if its safe or helps at all to run an engine oil cooler with a bypass setup? Id like to run a 10 micron into a 1 or 2 micron secondary filter. I was just wondering if I throw a small yet effective oil cooler if it would screw anything up. It sure would be nice to have easier access and dual filters for a lil more oil and lots more control on shavings.
