so since ive got my sct ive been askin my brother to race for the longest time..since theres been snow on the ground we havent been able to get to it and he said he needs to change the fuel filter on his truck also..
so my truck has sct tuner with canned tunes, banks duals, with banks high ram and banks intake..
my brothers duramax has afe exhuast with k&n intake big banks wastgate and banks six gun
he kept on saying the whole time how he was going to kill me and how he has more than 500 horse and 1000 torque:hehe:..and ive beend denying that from the beginning
anyway we lined up and he said i couldnt start with boosted luanch cause his 4x4 couldnt handle it..so i said fine whatever..any way i absolutly killed him every time, we did about three runs everytime i blew by him, he came ahead of me right off the start, but i killed up beyond that..:rofl:
we did a boosted 4x4 off the start on the last run, i blew the pants off of him..
he was surprised as hell, made me smile every time..i pretty much new i was going to beat him..
now hes lookin to stack his banks with a ppe or efi, hes pissed i beat him..
yea i agree efi live seems to be the way to go with dmaxs most of the stock truck pull classes use that w/ chevys....does banks work good on any truck?
my buddy has a duramax with diablo sport tuner 4'' exhaust and air dog fuel pump and he won't race me says his tranny won't handle it. I think he's just scared
well...stacking is best done for the common rail cummins, most guys with them do stack. As for your bro with the dmax tell him to drop the banks and get the ppe hot2 et or efilive. i got a buddy with the 425 tune ppe and was a lil more impressed than i was the efi live, but its endless possibilities with efi just like custom tunes on a sct.
lol nice kill... hes going to want to beef up his trans if hes going to go with a EFI... he doesnt need to stack the six crap with anything.. have him pull it off and get a HOt +2 PPE and hes prob going to beat you after that..... if he needs a price let me know and ill shoot one over to you
yeah like raul said, he's going to need a tranny if he gets a ppe or efi live. what size tires is he runnin? if he has stock tires and you have the 37's, thats a great kill.
forget that efi-live crap. tell him to get a ppe and he will actually be putting up those 500+ numbers. he'll be spanking you then. i'm a six liter guy too,but i cant even touch any one of my buddys dmaxs with a ppe
ok now fellas the most HP i seen a PPE Duramax lay down was 520-530HP and i have seen Duramaxs with stock injectors and turbo lay down anywhere from 560-590RWHP on tuning,lift pumps,tranny build and a few odds n ends with a total of $5,000-$6,000 invested!
this spring my LLY laid down 1100RWTQR but the HP numbers didnt show right so not sure on those but going off of what most guys are doing i'm in the 525-540RWHP Range and thats going easy on her to save the pistons!
