Making sure I'm getting a good deal
First of all my truck is out of warranty. I met a ford diesel tech that will do my headgaskets, arp studs, and egr delete on my 03' for $1200 labor and I just buy the parts. $1200 sounds good but I just want to make sure its a pretty good deal. I know it beats $5000 at the dealership

supposively on our 03's you can get away without removing the cab so you might be able to find cheaper. 1200 does sound good though

How long will it take him to do it? Divide the $1,200 by the hours it will take him and see what he is charging per hour. That seems kinda high for a non shop in my opinion.

He said it would take about 9.5 hours to get the cab off and do everything. But thats with him having another tech from ford helping him out. So thats $63 an hour for the both of them
