6.0 Wastegate??

Alright so today I had a load to Houston stopped to get fuel at a truck stop this guy is driving in the parking lot where the truckers park blowing black smoke all over the place the CB is getting heavy with truckers saying all kinda stuff lol look at this fool here and stuff like that OK so anyways he comes and parks kinda next to me he see's my SCT sticker thing on the door and comes over and starts telling me about his edge blah blah saying how good is it ..and did i see him blowing smoke around the parking lot I'm like yeah what you have done to it he tells me just the chip/exhaust/intake and wastegate pinched I was shocked b/c my 12v has a wastegate you can pinch it and will give you a little more power but i did not know the 6.0 had a wastegate so is this kid just talking bs?

There has been alot of these wastegate threads popping up in various forums I've noticed with regard to the 6.0, I wonder why it's doing that.

I have noticed that too Tex and do not know why? Im thinking they hear turbo fart and think they have a wastegate

That's as good of a guess as any. I guess most of them are dodge people that have seen the "light" and haven't quite got all the ins and outs right yet, I dunno.

Ha i guess that's what you can call it but hey when it comes down to it i would take my 12v over the 6.0 any day I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it i'm just so used to it and feel in love with it back in 97 and there's noting wrong with owning 2 of the best trucks out there ford and dodge and thanks for the reply if you would of said yeah it has a wastegate i would be out side right now looking for it

Does anybody have any they can ship me? My parts supplier is out and I dont want to get a ticket.
