Can anybody recommend mod friendly dealers in central N.C. Want to do some minor stuff and a tuner/programmer to eliminate the EGR, or is this just not going to happen with the 6.0. Any suggestions?
Hey Diesel Freak, I grew up in Va. Beach! Crowded as hell now, most of my family still lives there, mom, dad, brothers, etc. Miss the beach though!!!!!!!! Good to see some hometown blood from time to time. See Scott eh? Have talked to him once believe it or not, but a tuff guy to catch. Will try again!
You will not find a better Master Diesel Mechanic than Scuffy828 aka Scott!! Period, hands down, no questions about it and one hellofgood person on top of it all. He will be able to help you out or at least where not to go. He has turned a few wrenched on The Granny truck and if I was still in NC I would never hesitate to take the truck back to him again. +100 for Scuffy!!!
YUP,Yup!! Scott's one TOP TECHIE fer sure!! Great to watch at work!! I drove all the way from Norfolk,VA to have Scott work on my rig. I'd do it again!!
YUP,,, All over VA Beach is built up!! FREAKIN' MAD HOUSE HERE!! I'd love to get back to the country
Scott........ I'm waiting on my stimulus package :hehe:. Been checking my mailbox since Nov. 5th of last year :dunno:. You'll be the first in my plan for redistribution of stimulus wealth :tard:.
Mods on hold right now..... Work is slow so money is tight. Don't go anywhere!
Scuffy.......Help.......Spewed coolant this weekend while pulling my dinky little jetski trailer (Maybe 1800 lbs.) this weekend. No mods on this truck, just a stock 06. I do drive it like I stole it. Check engine light came on too. If I have failed componants do I have to go back with OEM parts while under warrenty? If I don't use OEM parts will Ford give me a credit towards the OEM parts that I can put it towards better built aftermarket parts like studs etc. Sorry guys, even though I have a pretty good idea what the answer is....... I had to ask :dunno:
Scuffy....... I see everybody at All American got their stimulus package. Called All American to try and see what the schedule was like and they gave me the bad news, really sucks man!!!!!!!!! So, I had to get on Bobbys schedule here in town, which means sometime next week. Sales dept. is trying to put me in something I can work out of until mine is out of the hospital. Worst case scenario is two weeks without my truck. They are swamped over here in Burlington. Was hoping i could get my truck to you to look at. Where are you now? I hope your working a little closer to Burlington!
i am gonna be closer to burlington, i have two dealers im dealing with right now , not sure but it seems the one in thomasville , wants to deal right , they are just off 85 right past high point , you can catch 85 in greensboro and come that way if you need something , sorry for what happened and i couldnt get to your truck this week, but i'll be back at a dealer next week probably
Hey Scuffy
PLEASE post up and let us local guys know where you end up ASAP. Dropped mine off today to be worked on.... you know Check Engine light, Spewing Coolant, etc. Don't know if they'll do anything more with the coolant issue like I told you about in the PM, so if they don't really adress it any further I'll be calling you:thumb:. By the way thanks for the informative response.
