turbo size question

uh i dont know what the 62/70, 62/80, 64 ,66 on turbos mean. is that a measurement of the intake size or something what does it all mean. any help please.

first number is the inducer size of the compressor, second is the exducer of the compressor. simple answer is a 60/80 would be a 60mm inlet on an 80mm wheel. on the compressor (cold) side.

oh i see so the small number is the diameter of the inlet on the turbo where the intake connects? and the exducer is the diameter of the wheel in mm? am i understanding correctly?

sort of, if you look at a turbo compressor wheel it tappers from small to big. small side is towards the inlet, but not the size of the inlet connection, and the bigger end is up against the backing plate. the sizes is the size of the wheel itself, not the housing.

oh i get it thanks for the help so whats a good 6.0 turbo upgrade, to use with te stock fuel system but able to use with stock injectors and/or go to maybe to a stage 2 injector? basically whats a good all arond turbo with decent spool time but will add some decent hp?
