Egr delete and the scoop

When you do a full egr delete what is the deal with the scoop that they say to remove? I had mine done and not sure if the scoop was removed. Have a 06 What is the difference if it is remover or not?

The scoop takes up half of the uppipe, it's just less restriction when it is removed.

had the full egr delete done ford did it blocked off the up pipe with a plug that went in the v clamp removed the cooler . block plate and rerout coolant

didnt mention had studs done at the same time truck kept overheating and boiling out water no tuner.

The scoop is in the up pipe. It baffles or slows the flow some what to cooler. Since it got plugged no need to worry. At time the flex part of the pipe cracks due to no support. There is an after market straight pipe offered

Down at the bottom of the page shows a pic inside the up pipe, if they welded a plate on the end of egr pipe manifold , they 99% didnt pull that scoop out.also now that the EGR isnt conncted to that te

also now that the EGR isnt conncted to that tee the pipe will flex from the pressure and heat and will eventually crack the accordian bellows in the pipe since its a thiner metal. I would not worry much about it now, just drive it, but down the road the up pipe will have to come back out and be welded solid like:

Since they cut the bellows out anyways they will still prob refund core even if its cracked.

Since we are on this topic. Does anyone know a place near Richlands NC that will do a FULL EGR delete for me? What should I expect to pay?
