SCT Difference?

X3 or the SF3?...what's the difference?...couldn't tell by looking at the website.

Comparing the two side by side on the SCT website, the SF3 appears to come with 3 "dyno proven tune files". The X3 just says it is able to store custom tunes. MSRP is the same on their site. Part numbers are different.

SF3 will hold 3 "canned" tunes plus 3 custom. X3 hold 3 custom tunes.

tech its the x3 does not come with any tunes.. its the tuner used by custom tuners.. the SF3 comes with 3 pre loaded tunes...

Odd that they are the same price, but the SF3 is same 3 custom slots along with 3 canned. X3 just custom slots.

they only sell the X3 to custom tuners like Innovative.. trust me once you go custom tunes you will never use the canned tunes

Raul is right, i have an SF3, seems like "wasted" space having the 3 canned tunes that will never get used.....on my truck anyway

Why pay the same price for the X3 if you don't get as much? I understand what you're saying about the wasted space but I would rather have the one that has the 3 extra tunes if it's the same price.

the X3 is not available to the gen public.. its for custom tuners only... so you couldnt buy it unless you found one on ebay or the really old X3's that had pre loaded tunes over a year ago before they changed it...

look at it this way... the X3 with 3 custom tunes is $429.95.. im not sure how much the SF3 sells for but im sure its less than that price.. but by the time you buy the SF3 then pay for custom tunes your already over the price of what it would of just cost you to get the X3 with 3 custom tunes in the first place...

were all just trying to help you save money because i guarantee you will not use those tunes after you go custom... so its a waste of money
