Question WHAT TUNE SHOULD I RUN WITH???

Okay just have a couple of questions for you guys. Just took my truck in to the shop due to a smoking issue, which turned out to be a faulty Ficm, not a problem. Well they gave me the most recent updated flash file but when I went to go load my Sct I realized that my strategy was different so I stopped there. Dropped Eric an email to see if he can help... My main question is which tune should I be running?? I have a ARE contractor cap on my truck loaded with screw guns, miter saw, table saw etc etc...My guess all tools combined weight is 400-600 pounds, truck cap may weigh 200 pounds not sure totaling 800 pounds, also tow a low boy 6x12 dump trailer.When not towing is it safe to run the extreme street with the weight?????

sure just keep a eye one your gauges like your egt's. i have towed a 10k camper with dj's looney tune. just gotta watch your egt's thats all. with no trailer, i wouldnt be worried at all.

I would also suggest you keep an eye on your tranny temp gauge and either ECT and/or EOT if you have those as well. Running a race tune with extra weight and a trailer can add extra temp degrees on there and you could have good EGTs but be running hot in other areas. Although I would not advocate using a program with a tranny program designed for racing applications when towing, I would keep an eye on those temps to make sure. Ultimately, it would be better to have a tow program, but it's your truck.

Ditto, Personally I load the tow tune when I am loaded more than 4k over stock.
