if you know what your doing, yes, they are all un detectable......but i would reccomend you go see the problems sections for the 6.0, as chips and tuners cause all kinds of problems, including blown head gaskets

The Excal2 is a great tuner for your truck. From surfing many Forums it seems it is the best as far as being stealth. A good practice is if you know your going in in a couple days take it out then. If your going in right away take out the tune and cycle the ignition key on and off like 8 times. That will recalibrate and clear your computer. That is what I read everywhere. I havent come into that situation, and Ive never had a customer tell me they got caught either. SCT tells me that "Ford has no problem with there tuners", but I still tell everyone to take caution. Be prepared and take it out.

first of all, ford does not "endorse or condone" any mod....as long as it does not have a chance of hurting a part covered under warranty...so the claim of the company you speak of is @ssnine........and to further give it no validity, that fact that it is easy to de tune with no codes makes it further more seem not to be a ford "sponsored" tuner....the bottom line is be carefull with tuners and chips...dont chip a sick-0 and dont go overboard with a 7.3 if its still under powertrain........and everything will be fine.......after the 5-100k warranty.....its your own buck, and do what you want.....and if its a 7.3.....the sky is the limit.......if its a 6.0....same goes for it, as long as you dont blow a head gasket.......go for a head stud kit.....then no problem there either.....

Let me correct myself. My contact at SCT said that they gave Ford their Tuners and told them to test them every way they could. This would give SCT things to work on to make them better. They supposedly passed the test with flying colors. Now, is this truth or someone trying to talk me into selling there product. Im sure both are possable. No, If you pull into the dealer with blown head gaskets with a 130 hp tune in your truck Im sure your screwed. If Ford could prove that your aftermarket Hitch cover caused your glove box hinge to fail you'd have to pay for that aswell. I know you dont like the addition of power to the 6.0L from your posts on this forum and others. I guess I should have went with the long version to avoid this. ARP Headstuds, we have them and recomend them. I am not being confontational. I respect your experience and knowledge. Too many times people take things the wrong way, and I just want to correct myself. Things get pretty crazy around here and I was taking the short road.

hey, if you do the head stud kits, id be interested in then seeing what you could get out of a 6.0. the turbo is capable of scary boost, in fact i wouldnt reccomend high tuning without a beefier intercooler also, but the block itself will handle most mods in my opinion. i just dont like the mods on stock vehicles. i wasnt trying to get confrontational, i just didnt want someoen to see that ford did not have anything against that particular tuner and have them install it and have a problem......the only mod i really "dont like" in general is cleanable air filters. the rest i only have opinions on based on what the motor, or a specific componant, can take as far as additional load on it. nice chatting with ya and thanks for the clearification...........Marc
