USED SCT X2? Would it work?

I found a used x2 with 3 innovative tunes on it, says economy, tow, agressive street. Would this work on my 06? It is set for a 6.0 and says it was on an 06 but ya know. Are these decent tunes? looking like about 130 shipped or so. Thanks in advance guys

That's a good price, but the tunes should not work with your truck. As long as its got a few unlocks left you can get new tunes for it from innovative for $100. Extra if you want an Xtreme file. $130 is still a good price for a custom tuning platform such as the Xcal2. I personally like the Xcal2 better than the X3.

If your truck has the same stratagy then yes the tunes will work just fine..

I think the strategy codes are like serial #s there is no 2 alike, the straegy code is just for copywrite issues, so you can copy the same tune for multiple people.

So to answer the question, the X2 for 130 is a great price, but you need to get your own tunes. Just make sure it has a few more unlocks left, and that the seller actually unlocked it from his truck, or you will have to send it to SCT and pay for them to unlock it.

the strategy is the factory tune parameters. they are not vin dependant. the computer though does have a vin tied to it. check to see if the strategy is the same... if so lock and load. also might be a good idea to get him to email the tunes if he can. and fyi you have to unmarry the tuner. you can do this with the software. as long as the other truck is returned to stock. i got my tuner for 110 shipped and it is a xcal and i am very pleased with it
