Tires & Gear size

I was wanting to get some in put on tire and gear size. I currently have 39.5 tall ties with 4:88's. I am getting new tires and thinking about dropping down to 38's. Whats everybody's thoughts on this?

4.88s are a little low for 38s IMO. 4.56s would be better. I am in the same boat, I'm on 40s with 4.88s and shelling out 600+ bucks per tire gets old quick,,

4.30 would be a good option also.

Send a message via Yahoo to Dave
4.30 is all you would need for 38s

I know, 4.88 will be a tad too much for 38's but I can't stand the aggressive tires in that size. 38's have a good street tire and will give me some better low end

I think they will be to low I have 4.56's and run 37's but wish I had 4.30's or even 4.10's the take off is great but to low for good mpg at interstate speeds 70-80 mph

the 4.56's were great when I had 40's

I have 4.30 with 37's. If I did more highway driving I would have gone with 4.10's.
