Has anyone used the EGR block plate on a 03 or 04 6.0?

I have the EGR block plate on mine but I had the tech. install it when the head studs were installed.

Thanks, all you did was the block plate, not the cooler delete. How long has it been and have you had any more problems with it since. Thanks

Oh, where did you get your plate from? There is alot of different ones on the net, and I don't want to get the wrong one. Thanks again

My head gaskets and plate were installed January of 08. Been 15k miles with no problems, (knock on wood).

I got mine from Elite Diesel. Not sure where to tell you to get yours. You can get cheaper ones I'm sure. Someone will chime in here and give some suggestions.

Either punch your own out of 18ga sheet-metal 1-11/16" round, or get a 1/2" freeze plug, or order it from DPP here>Discount Power Parts

Or don't block it at all... upgrade it! google "egr cooler upgrade kit" and your are sure to find it online. I installed it on 4 different customer's trucks and they love it!

The Tech just put in a freeze plug when he was doing my studs

I have an up pipe and EGR cooler coming in the mail I think I am just going to remove up pipe scoop and weld off each end of the cooler so it all still looks like its there but will never end up failing on me.
