Is it even possible on a diesel? LOL
Isn't a blowoff valve for when a gas engine is in high boost then you let off the pedal and the throttle plate closes, causing all the extra pressure. |

yea it is possible but they are not need

A B.O.V on a diesel cures the reverse pressure on the turbo, same as gas, just a little different since a diesel doesn't have a "butterfly". The reverse pressure does bad things to a turbo, it tries to stall the turbine.

heres a vid on youtube if you havent already seen it..
YouTube - 50mm Blow Off Valve.... On a 04 Duramax Diesel LB7 i think it would be cool sometimes, but might get a little annoying..maybe only cool at the track. but that setup above is pretty sweet, did he just weld another pipe on to the banks i/c pipe? looks pretty simple |

I don't think you can put a BOV on a VGT turbo, it needs to be a fixed geometry.
