No problem on mine. Sound is somewhat subjective, but I noticed no difference IN the cab from a "performance" muffler to straight pipe. I was actually kind of disappointed. Haha.

I really haven't noticed any sound in-cab with me except when I boosted it to much it blew the downpipe off the turbo and I truly was running a non-restrictive exhaust. Trust my, y'all might not like the sound of a turbo fart or find it annoying, but it's alot better then the sound they make without a little pressure to blow it back up thru the intake.

I run a 4" straight pipe into duals with 6" tips. Really lets my 03 turbo sing. It really isn't near as load as you'd think unless you stand on the loud pedal. A turbo acts like a muffler.

Mine will make you go deaf if ther is a load behind me. My wife hates it when I find that sweet spot while she is trying to nap when we pull our camper.

My buddy's 05 has straight pipe and it really is not that loud in the cab. My 06 is a different story, i have dumped straight pipe under the front passenger seat. Its loudest at 2500 rpm on my truck. If you know how loud a cummins truck is in the cab it is most certainly quietier than one of those.
