SCT Tow Tunes ??????

I am planning on finnaly using my SCT Xcal 2. I have had it for a year and havent done anything with it since DJ bailed.

My question is regarding tow tunes......

I tow a 11,000 LBS 26 foot toy hauler. What are some features I want in a tow tune and why?

What makes a tow tune a tow tune?

Thanks!!!! Just trying to get the skinny on this stuff so I can load up 3 quality tunes in it.

I'll give you a bump. Mu truck is just for towing, so all I want is a tow tune, but just want to know if it is a noticable difference pulling. I pull about 12,000lbs.

Yes a tow tune really helps. It helps with EGT's, shifting and has more power. If you tow you should also get the turbo brake, it helps ALOT on the hills. My truck and trailer has a GCVW sometimes of 22-23,000 lbs. and a good tow tune helps. I got my tunes from Eric at ID.

Work&play thank's for the response. I don't see any post's on the tow tunes, performance wise. ID has a couple of tow tunes, which one do you run? I hear nothing but great thing's about ID's tunes

Yes - it is a line that connects the back of the two heads together. I just put it on a few weeks ago when I had the head gaskets done. It seems to have quieted it down and it is supposed to help with the dead heading. I just did not have the $$ for a RR kit right now.
