If you look at the MBRP site they list kits that will work with the OEM cat installed. If you remove the cat, people have hollowed out the inside and reinstalled it for a stock look.

What method do you use to hollow it out? Just a large dowel and a BFH?

pretty much. Ive seen em cut a part of the top out, hollow it out and reweld the piece back in and it seemed to work pretty good |

Don't shoot me, but why worry about the look of the cat?

its loud and you can here the whistle of the turbo a lot better. did it to mine and love it. I just unbolted mine and used a piece of sucker rod to bust it up.

why not keep the cat intact and get a delete pipe??? they arent that hard to reinstall if needed for inspection or anything.. 10 minutes max....

My 2 cents worth, i'd get a piece of 4" pipe and put it thru the cat. Plasma a 4" hole in both ends, knock the guts out of it, and weld 4" pipe thru it and boom. True 4" with the look of the stock cat and don't put a muffler on it. Then your turbo will talk very well
