studs and gaskets????
What studs and head gasket should I use for my 05 6.0? Are stainless gaskets the best? What about ARP studs? Just want to make sure the repair will last. I plan on putting some Banks products on here in the future.

Just got some ARP studs through Brown's Diesel for $387 shipped. Do a goodle search. They are the way to go. I believe most people will tell you to use OEM gaskets. Most people will also tell you not to wate your money on banks. Most 4" turbo back exhausts will perform relatively the same. If you want a tune, nearly EVERYBODY on here will tell you SCT. Also, don't forget about adding an EGT sensor. Hope ths helps.

ARPs for the headstuds and oem gaskets unless your thinking about pushing upwards past 550hp. Everything I have and I'm still running stock gaskets. Also, make sure that whoever does your install(or you if it's a DIY'er) that they(or you) make sure that the heads are flat and get them machined if needed and able to be usuable after machining. If machining is a no go, then new heads are in order. Only Bank product that is worth something is their intercooler. I like the material of the Spearco better, but I like the thickness of the Banks. Other products of theirs are overly priced compared to what your getting. |
