Power?

What are some of the best ways to build power with 04 6.0 I don't want any more than 450. Right now the truck has full exhaust cold air bully dog power pup and outlook. the gears were swapped out for 4.30 and its riding 6 high on 37's

Get rid of the bullydog and get a custom tuned SCT and you will be just about there. Otherwise you need a set of injectors and turbo. And still need the sct

thanks Dave! I'm trying to soak up as much info as I can, Is the bully dog really that bad?I guess I like the on the fly adjustment but if its a hindrance maybe I'll go a different way.

Take Dave's advice, he knows what he is talking about. A custom tuned SCT will be the best bet for any 6.0, your transmission will hold up much longer with custom tunes than with the Bully Dog. With Innovative's Extreme tunes you should be in the 410-420 RWHP range.

sorry for invading ur post, but how do i go about getting tunes on my bran spankin new sct

'03 f350 6.0, 8" lift, 37's, rbp 4" turbo-back, volant intake w/ ram air scoop, HAD edge juice w/ attitude... now runnin sct sf3 w/ street extreme tune from innovative, accufab intake elbow, zoodad, 8k h.i.d.s(incl. fog lights). freshly rebuilt tranny thanks to edge programmer.

Call and talk to a custom tune vendor. Discuss what you want with them. They then email the tunes to you. And you upload them to your SCT with the liveload software

If you go to Innovative tuning's website they explain the process, but I will give you a quick rundown.

1)Take SCT and plug into truck, go to Vehicle info, Read strategy
Strategy is bascially your PCM serial # so you cant load the tune you buy on anyone elses truck

2)Call or Email respective tuner, Give them strategy code, truck info and mods, what type of tune/tunes you want, email adress, pay for them.

3)Go to SCT's website and download the X3LW program. (If you have windows XP or Vista, you will have to disable your antivirus/firewall to install program.

4)When tune file arrives in your email, download to computer, take SCT and connect to computer with USB cable, mine didnt come with one so you will probably need to go to Bestbuy, Circuit city, walmart etc to get one. Name and load tune on SCT in one of the Custom file spots.

5) Load tune on truck, and take it easy for 15-20 miles, it may shift like crap once or twice at WOT until the trans learns the program, but then you will be going after that!!!
