Which programmer?

I thought that we could make a sticky with a poll, about tuners since the questions seems to arise once a week or so. Not that I have an issue with helping them get on the right path . It might be cool for people to just go to a thread post and see what the majority of us run on our trucks. It was mentioned in another thread as to how many people use the SCT verses any other tuner.

Also, if you have used one tuner, and got rid of it for one reason or another please post your comments

It sucks sometimes using a tuner that isn't on the market that appears to be better then what is currently available(and I do have experiance with bullydog and SCT, the others not so much only thru other people).

Actually many people have heard of it. Any many use it. Just not on the 6.0 because it hasn't been released yet. He's testing the Spartan phalanx (Dash Daq)

Yep. Go to the 6.4 forum here especially and they won't be suggesting SCT, they'll be suggesting the Phalanx. Even some of the stauncher supporters of SCT on the 6.0 forum will complain about what the SCT can(or in this case can't do) when compared to the Phalanx for the 6.4.

When I first bought my Diablosport tuner I was impressed on how clean the power is.
Then I started reading this forum....and started paying attention to the shifting.
0-1/4 pedal the shifting is great throught all the gears...this however is too slow for me.
1/4 to 3/4 pedal shifting is good to 3rd gear then when it shifts to 4th it seems like it is slipping. (at this point I put my truck back to stock...the trans shifts just fine stock).
At WOT the trans shifts great just like it should....but I cant run this way all the time.
This was tested on the 100hp setting on my predator.

I PMed on of the guys at Diablosport and they told me they dont flash the trans....I dont think they have any plans to either.
So if I dont want to do permanent damage to my trans then either I have to get a shift kit installed or go with a programer that tunes the trans as well as the motor..
Next month I am getting and SCT I guess.

I've only had SCT with tunes from Innovative and don't have anything bad to say.

After reading what some of the other tuners have done the 6.0 and trans, I'm glad I have my SCT

the sct is the way to go with the 6.0 atleast until spartan releases their 6.0 tuning then sct might have some competition with that market as well.

and my parents had the predator and said it was good for reading codes
