High Idle mod or use sct??
Would it hurt to just use the sct to set the idle high instead of wiring it up to a switch like on the regular high idle mod?? I was lookin at options on the sct and noticed you can change the idle speed. What are your guys's thoughts on this?

The SCT stays at that idle, with the "high idle mod" you can turn it on and off... With the SCT set high, you're really holding the brakes at the stop lights! I really like the high idle mod myself...

its pretty easy to do a high idle mod and you probably will save a little bit more fuel if you have it on the switch then always have it idling that high at a light... here this should help you out....(High Idle Mod) try that out for you

Do you have the uplifter switches?

I just use the sct for high idle... I set it to 825rpm and when i high idle kicks in it jumps to bout 1150rpm

So if I decide to do the high idle mod do I need to use my SCT and return my truck back to stock or can I leave it on my extreme race tune?

If you have it wired through the upfitter switches, it won't matter a lick what tune your running on the computer. All I have to do is put my parking brake on, flip switch number 4 and off it goes to about 1200 rpm. If I want it to stop, I just press the brake pedal and it goes back to normal for a few seconds unless I either put it in gear or take the parking brake off or flip the switch. Works on any one of the tunes that I have(another reason to have it seperate from the programmer, you don't have to remember to switch for each one).
