Use that money for your intake and get you a custom tuned SCT

Yeah, your intake is okay, you need an sct.

Stock Intakes on 6.0's are pretty good. you NEED gauges if you don't already have them.
However if you are dead set on an intake, my vote is for a S&B |

:yeah my truck acts like it has a hard time getting as much air as it should and i juist replaced the air filter... theres a really low pitch whine, not that of the turbo, which makes me think its starving for air. I thought maybe an intake would help it out. And by the way... i like my max energy lol i gets the job done for now...

I'm running a AEM Brute force intake, and I like it alot. It has a dry filter that never needs to be oiled, you just wash it out with soap and water.
I didnt notice much of a performance increase but it did make the turbo wistle louder. |

Its just a wast of money. There are several 6.0,s out there making over 500 whp. The factory intake is a great unit. I would use the money to get a SCT and custom tunes.

You won't need an intake until you start bumping up the hp well beyond what especially your hypermax unit is capable of. We're talking turbo and injector territory here. Save the money or use it for more worthwhile mods like an RR kit. Hmmm, how to put it here. Hypermax max energy=ground chuck, custom tuning=filet mignot. If you think the hypermax can do stuff, then you'll be blown away with what custom tuning can do and do it better because it's it's designed around your truck, not just for all 6.0s Last edited by tex25025; 02-18-2009 at 02:53 PM. |

You may like the hypermax, but I bet your transmission wont!
Anyways IMO the only intake (other than stock, which is really good) I'd run is an AFE setup. I just put a stage 1 AFE. Wish I could have afforded the nice Stage 2 with the battery box, but man its a lot of coin. I use the pro-guard 7 dry filter. Just stay away from K&N for sure though. |

I have an 04 cc with an Mbrp 4" and a Hypertech max energy, I ran an Airaid intake(I still have it ) but, I put the stock one back on the truck because it is Quieter. Back in 04 on my first 6.0(also an 04) I ran some dyno testing on parts for Off Road magazine(Airaid intake,Gibson cat back, and two DR Performance predator FICM modules) the Airaid did show a gain, but it was not much. Spend your money on an EGR delete, remove the intake throttle blade and install an intake elbow.
