SCT iTSX

2005 6.0 140,000 miles. Truck is out getting Bullet Proofed. Just purchased the SCT iTSX from amazon.
anyone out there using this unit out there? I haven't purchased any tunes from anyone yet. Was wondering what everyone thought about the tunes that are stock with this particular unit.

Should be the same tunes fro. Their other programmer and I love the canned tunes. They really are pretty good sometimes it wants to give me a shift flare in the performance tune but tow tune is good. However what everyone says the custom tuning is really a much more refined tune so to speak.

I have read a lot of posts on this unit and I still have some really simple novice questions.
Will the iTSX unit always need to be plugged in to the OBD?
My truck should be ready to be picked up by Friday. Its a 20 min drive back to my house. should i install the iTSX when i pick it up or should i wait until i get home encase of any install issues?

If you plan on using the iTSX gauges, then yes the OBDII will have to be plugged in all the time. If you just want to tune the truck, then no, you can use the iTSX to tune the truck, then unplug the OBDII connector.
