Intro and SCT Extreme Race tune ??
Hey gents im new to this forum but not new to the diesel world, Spent the last 7yrs as a diesel mech for the army. So needless to say i know my way around and engine and is pretty much my only hobby.
I picked up an 04 CC DRW 4wd Lariat with only 67k miles on it, bone stock.
I put a 4'' mbrp turbo back straight pipe on it, Pulled the egr cooler off, and put in a new revised oil cooler, as well as a coolant filter running elc red.And just put in my Livewire TS (love it!) Im all about preventative maintenance. That being said it does still have the stock headbolts.
I know that maybe 90% of you are running tunes from Eric at ID, as am I now. I have the extreme race tune,Extreme lope/smoke tune (just for fun sometimes) and the tow tune. Now heres my question.
With the extreme race tune does anyone else have the issue of quick downshift with light throttle, maintaining the throttle position the truck accelerates fine all the way up to 4k then shifts back up to the next higher gear. Keep in mind that I am not going wot or trying to roast the tires, just leaving a stop light or daily cruising. I contacted innovative and Eric is going to tone down the aggressiveness of the trans tune, but im just trying to gauge how many others have this "problem". Or im the only one.
