Did my SCT Livewire get too hot?

Driving home today I noticed my livewire was not on so I hit the button and it was not communicating with the computer. All I have is the windshield suction mount. I took it off and held it front of the AC vent for a few minutes and plugged it back in and all was well. It was in the upper 80's and not that crazy humid for my neck of the woods. Has anybody else experienced this with the Livewire? Are they sensitive to direct sunlight? Thanks in advance

Not sure if the heat is the issue, but I have been having some issues with the livewires acting up. I've probably sold around a hundred of them and have had issues with around 5 of them.

That being said, I'd contact SCT about it if it happens again. While I have seen some issues with the livewires, SCT has always taken care of it for me.
