Finally bought Innovative diesel tunes today

I finally made the decision as to which tunes to get, I ended up going with innovative and had them send me the extreme street (150hp) extreme race (170hp) and street (120hp) with jake brake for towing.

First off id like to say I was very impressed with how nice they were over the phone and they answered all my questions with ease, even the dumb ones lol. I was extremely impressed with how fast they emailed me the tunes after ordering them, literally had them within an hour of talking with them.

I was really undecided on what tunes to get but after running the extreme street tune I am glad I chose them. It is a perfect daily driver tune. It shifts nice and smooth no jerking or turbo surge. Power comes on nice and strong with Virtually no turbo lag!! even though some tend to say the lag with a powermax is more then stock, we'll not mine! This tune is very clean as well, very very little smoke if any.

The second one I tried today was extreme race, at first the shifts were kind of confused and the turbo surged a few times with out even really stepping on the peddle. After about 20 miles everything began to click. the tranny shifts pretty fast and firm and really plants you in the seat. I probably won't daily drive this tune because I wouldn't have any tires left in about a month haha but it is defiantly capable of doing so. The converter lock is around 50mph and only takes about half the peddle to down shift and really pull where as I've read some people have to really smash it to the floor for it to come out of Overdrive.

Haven't tried my tow tune yet but so far I am very pleased with the results of these tunes, they seem to match my mods perfectly. I really hope this helps some one choose between what tunes to get, I know it can be kinda stressful trying to pick one haha it took me three weeks to decide who to try first while I was building my truck.

Another trick to get trans out of OD is to tap the break pedal.

I didn't know that but yes you are correct lightly tapping the brake is the easiest way to unlock the converter, tried it on my drive to work this morning
