Removing EGT probe

Hey guys, so here is the deal.

I bought an 05' F250 a couple weeks ago, and it had a banks 6 gun w/ the speedloader option (includes an EGT sensor). I removed it along w/ some other undesirable mods on the truck.

I wanna put an edge insight cts on it for monitoring as well as get some custom innovative tunes. I also would like to run an edge EGT probe and was hoping the mounting boss in the manifold already would accommodate the edge. I could not get that thing out of the manifold, i was afraid it was going to break it so i used a 1/4" compression cap and sealed it off.

The issue is Edge uses an 1/8" compression fitting while the banks is a 1/4". If i could get the banks piece out i'd put a sleeve around the edge piece and use the same hole. Any ideas? it has been in since 06'.

Is my best bet redrilling the drivers side manifold(driver side has the 1/4" bung in it) and starting new, or drilling the passenger side manifold?

I've done it. Soak it with penetrating oil half hour before starting.

Heat it up with a torch tell almost red and spray it with wd-40. It will smoke a lot but won't catch on fire. Then find a good 6 point socket and start wrenching.

So edge told me that while the NPT that goes into the manifold is different, the compression fitting that the probe screws to is the same, we will see, if not i will attempt to remove it and put a pushing on the new piece.
