head gasket question?

we had to take our 08 F-350 in for some recals today and they were talking about how bad the 6.0's are with head gasket problems. i told them i was runing a tuner they asked what type i said sct they all laughed and just said its a matter of time before it happens to me. they also said i would cost around 4 grand and 10-12 if i dont notice its blown and trash other things they said if i run my truck on looney i wont have to worry about it. what you guys think about this?

It's a crap shoot and how hard you run your truck. I have tunes from DJ, Eric, and a couple of others and haven't had any issues for 20k miles but I'm waiting. Keeping the EGTs down will help.
