php Ecm rollback before sct tuning?

Hello i just got my truck back from being studded and am now looking at sct tuning but have one question. My truck is currently running the vxap1n6 strategy. Is this a decent base for custom tunes or would I get better performance and mpg from an ecm rollback from php. Thanks in advance guys

You can just have your tuner write a custom tune with a better strategy instead of going through all that. This way the roll back will be built into the tune. My stock strategy is VXAP2B2. Now when tuned its VXAN0N2. I just had Eric do the roll back by writing a tune with an early non inferred ebp strategy

VXAP1 is fine leave it alone. That said Chris is correct. Its not so much the ECM tune that needs a rollback as any SCT tuner can write a file for whatever strategy thats compatible with the truck. If you're going to spend money at PHP get their FICM tuning
