Questions about sct...
Im kinda new to the whole sct thing. Ive had 4 powerstrokes and have always purchased tuners and programmers such as banks and edge. But around here if you dont have sct then everyone says what you have is junk lol. So my question is with the tuners from sct will i be able to change power levels on the fly like i can with my banks six gun and pda. Or is it somethin i have to reprogram everytime i wanna change tunes? any help would be great. Thanks

No shift on the fly. Takes about 3 minutes to change tunes but once you get custom tunes there is really no reason to change unless your gonna tow. The power will blow doors off your Banks stuff.

With an SCT you'll have to reprogram if you even want to change power levels. Most people find that with custom tuning they usually find a program that they "fall in love with" that fits 99.9% of their driving needs and they really don't NEED to change as much as they thought. Not to mention that your tranny will benefit extremely from the correct tuning that the plug-in modules can't provide for the 5R110.

Yea, thats what i was expecting to hear. i didnt realize it would be safe to run one certain tune at all times. but i guess these sct tuners are whole different animal than my banks. Wish i would have looked into this stuff more before i spent close to a grand on my banks stuff which seems to be junk compared to sct lol

One thing i was also wondering about is if i do decide to buy an sct tuner would it be possible to leave the banks six gun hooked up and use the pda as my gauges instead of buyin pods and gauges. i was thinkin if i leave the banks on stock this wouldnt be a problem but im not really sure. It would be a very expensive gauge setup, but it would be gauges none the less lol
