Not happy with SCT 5015/customer service

I have had my livewire ts for 2 years now. It has only been out of the truck once and that was to load tunes. A few days ago I tried to run a scan with it and the pop up buttons(exit, configuration, rec) from the gauge screen will not work. I'm stuck. I can't go back to the home screen. Therefore I can't run codes, return to stock or anything else. But the weird thing is I can still change my gauges and do all functions on the gauge screen just the pop up buttons will not work (exit, configuration, rec). I called SCT and explained and they told me too bad, that's it's a hardware issur. The only way to fix it is to send them $240. Needless to say I'm not too happy.
