WPE Intake Raffle - Melanie Walker Donation

Hello all. A good friend of ours named Michael Walker, who is also a member here on this forum under the username new2deisel, lost his wife Melanie to cancer.

She was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma in 2010, which is a rare but aggressive type of cancer that attacks smooth muscle tissue. Throughout her treatment of over 4 years, Melanie always remained positive and happy about everything, regardless of the difficulties of her battle. She was one of the most caring and loving person that one would have the pleasure of meeting and would do anything for anyone. Melanie was a wife, and a mother to 2 beautiful boys, Kawai 15 and Kody 5. Melanie lost her battle with cancer on June 7th, 2014 at the young age of 33. We lost her WAY TO SOON. So we are setting up a donation for her husband and children, as a memorial for her to help with one less thing for Michael to worry about during this difficult time.

We would like everyone to come together and help support Michael and their boys. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. So what we are doing is we are going to raffle off a Stage 3 (Full EGR deleted) 6.0 manifold for the Walker family. Even if there are 6.4 guys that want to jump in on this, we’ll make them whatever level of ported 6.4 intake that they want. Furthermore, (to encourage donations) whatever amount someone donates if they do not win but want to purchase an intake manifold anyways, we will give them their donation amount off of the intake.

We are going to run the raffle through July 3rd (will close the buying option on the website the following morning) and do the drawing on July 4th. Tickets can be bought in quantities of 1, 3, and 5. 1 ticket is $15, 3 tickets are $35, and 5 tickets are $50.

Here is a picture of the ticket role. LOL

So the way this will work is, when a donation is made, the person will receive an email with the ticket numbers corresponding to their “order”.

Donations will be able to be made on our website Home page

Just go to “engine parts” and “intake manifolds” and there you will see an item labeled “Intake Raffle”. You’ll be able to select the number of tickets you want to buy and how many quantities of each. The winner will be notified by their email and announced in this thread. Also, the winner will either have to pay a $150 refundable core charge or send in their intake manifold for modifying (if it is a 6.0 intake manifold as 6.4 intakes have no core charge). If there are any more questions, feel free to post here or PM or even use the website contact form.

For anyone wanting to read about the lovely lady, you can read more here.
