X3 or SF3 ?

I was just got my sct and i was confused, you can put custom tunes on both of them right? i noticed that the sf3 says pre-loaded and the x3 says store up to 3 custom tunes.

you can put custom tunes on both but the SF3 comes with preloaded canned tunes and the X3 has none...

the X3 is what you get if you were to buy it from people like me or innovative diesel.. its the SCT tuner that is sold to custom tuners only...

whos tuning did you get?

Ebay 100 bones new in box it said popular ford vehicles and my truck was on the list. it says X3 but the # is 3015

this is the 3015.. its the SF3: SCT Automotive Performance Products

if it says X3 and has pre loaded tuners its the older X3 before the Sf3.. yah i know its confusing..

but either way it will hold custom tunes... what you need to do first is update the firmware then contact innovative diesel for some custom tunes...

on my website under the documentation section is a SCT write up.. it will show you how to do it...

i am on ebay and found one also it says sf3 and has a part #3015 will this work on my 05 6.0l and is it capable of getting customed tuned, if so how much are the tunes?

yes it is capable of getting custom tunes....

ill put it this way.. if you can get it for cheap (under 300 bucks) then it might be worth it but if its over 300 your better off buying a tuner from us because it comes with 3custom tunes for $429.95.... if not its 80 each tune for an extreme file.. and a lil bit less for standard tunes...

dont mean to hijack this thread, but where can you get the canned tunes? for example if i wanted to pull the X3 off my F250 and put some canned tunes on my expedition or something?
