Am I crazy to allow this thought in my head?

Truck is in my sig, I have 35"s on 6" lift, and my ps pump is taking a hit, better after the flush and addition of archoil, and more importantly my fuel mileage (14.3 mpg). I like the look, but is it worth it? is it worth sacrificing 10 MPG for the look? prev. owner had this setup. Would it make sense to go back to stock? What's the cost of associated with that? My wife likes the look, to be honest I do to, but always second guessing my self. Tips? Advice?

I can pretty much guarantee you that you were NOT getting 24+ mpg before the lift and tires.

I get about 14 mpg or so with just a 2" leveling kit and 33s.

Like I said the prev. Owner had this setup, judging by other rigs on other forums and few vids they're getting 25+ stock lift and tires, and with my engine upgrades, and custom tune.

Am I crazy to allow this thought in my head?

Well, with the cost to get new wheels, tires, suspension..

How many of them there em pee gee's are you really going to gain to offset the cost?

Takes quite a few mpg's to get 1500 bucks back.

Makes me laugh the kind of money people will spend to pick up 4mpg

Edit: I also think that anyone telling you they are avg'ing 25mpg in these trucks wear a tinfoil hat, and are full of **** lol.

My neighbor drives a Prius.

Best I have done with highway tread tires stock height is 23 all highway I got 22.5 the other way. All stock except a 4 inch turbo back exhaust. I tried though for that I drove like a grandpa. Good mileage can be had. It's just everything we love to do to the trucks negatively affects the mileage. Not just the size tire but the tread pattern as well. Just changing the tires I lost 3 mpg highway. In town not as noticeable. Just my 2 cents.
