Finally putting engine together.

Finally getting it together after a couple hick ups with push rod length and spring coil bind. Also adding coolant return lines from the back of the heads. Adding a dual bypass filter setup. Making my own regulated fuel return, trying to keep everything out of the way and I didn't like any of the stuff that was out there for sale. More pics to follow. Last pic is for the oil supply to the bypass filters.

Still working on the intake. Heads are ported comp cams springs. Trying to get some of the other loose ends wrapped up at the same time.

Engine went in, wrapping up my regulated fuel return. Again I didn't want hoses everywhere under the hood so I came up with this setup. It's 5/16 brake line silver soldered into banjo fittings and it runs to -6 hose to the pressure regulator on the frame and back to the return fitting on the stock hfcm.

I would need a spare engine to get the line bent properly that goes from head to head but it could be done. I have a spare at work.

It's finally alive, finished everything up tonight. Set the fuel pressure on the regulator at 62 psi. Let it run in the shop about an hour checking for leaks, nothing found. Oil bypass filter system is good. Coolant lines no problems. Best part is no leaks on my regulated return. Took it out for a short drive. It's still all stock other than the cam. Seems to spool the turbo quicker than most stock trucks I've driven. It does have a completely stock 03 turbo on it. Need to get more miles on it then think about some tuning. That will have to wait till after my bear hunt on the 12th, I have a 12 hour drive planned for if soon.
