*****Notice***** Upgrade your S&B CAI to the newest version for only $99!!

S&B has come out with a new CAI design for the 6.0. If you currently own a S&B CAI for your 6.0, you can upgrade to the latest and greatest for only $99. Yet another reason why when it comes to aftermarket CAI's, S&B always gets my recommendation. If you have any questions, please post them here and I'll answer.

Thank you,
Matt

First of all, it's actually $129 vs $99 for the 03-07 trucks. And two, the process isn't as simple as just buy an intake for a reduced price. A lot of shipping stuff around, waiting on refunds, etc etc. I guess it's cool if you have to have the latest and greatest but I'd rather just forgo the reduced cost and either stick with what I have or upgrade to something else. Jmo though.

From the pics it looks like they redesigned the box some but idk.

On the home page (S&B Filters - Breathe easy. Your engine and warranty are protected.) it says upgrade "for as low as" $99.

If you look into the details (Upgrade Guarantee - S&B Filters), where you go click on Ford, you'll find it is $129. Furthermore, in the steps it says basically what you do is you buy the new unit at full retail price of like $260 I think, then contact S&B for an RMA, ship your old intake back, and then wait for a refund.

I have shipped A LOT of stuff and I can tell you that shipping something the size of an intake anywhere will be about $40 (if you're lucky) is it is just so big by the time you figure in all your costs. So $130 plus $40 = $170 - $260 then translates to an end savings of maybe $80-$90... Just not worth it to me.

I'm not knocking this as it is at least something from S&B and tries to gain brand loyalty for sure. I'm just saying that I don't think it's such an awesome deal that I need to rush out and upgrade the unit that is on my truck right now is all. Hope this makes sense.
