Who to trust?

Hey guys, so I have a 2007 F250 6.0 and I am needing your opinions I started out with an edge juice with attitude a long time ago and then got rid of that in favor of an edge evolution the older one that looks like juice with attitude and have moved up to a SCT livewire TS i've been running it for a a while now and have always been curious as to why the EGT readings were always lower than my edge programmers? I've never quite trusted the Live wires EGT readings because they seem so low compared to Edge they kind of seemed all over the place and just lately there was an update for the TS and it seemed to calm the numbers down a bit but I noticed they were behind real time and I will try to post a video of what I'm talking about. So I have just reinstalled the edge evo because I don't trust the EGT readings of the TS anyone have a new CTS are they about the same as far as EGT readings go as the evolution?

Where is the probe mounted for the edge vs Sct? And have you tried a mechanical gauge to verify? Also is the tip of the probe in the center of the pipe or is it close to the inside edge?

No I haven't tried a mechanical gauge, and I think the end of the probe is centered pretty good in the exhaust manifold. The probe location for the SCT and the edge are the same removed one and put the other one in

Here's the video of the TS if you pay close attention you'll see the TS's EGT numbers are still climbing after I've already let out of the throttle. How can you trust that?

When in doubt, stick another probe in the same location and compare. That's what I did when I switched from the CTS to a Dashboss. When I made the change, I also did a turbo swap and my EGTs were unbelieveably low. So rather than post how awesomely low they were, I bought a Glow Shift Max Tow EGT probe and compared the two readings. The two probes confirmed each other so I was happy with the info I was receiving.

I have seen people with super low egts similar to yours and it for a couple of different reasons...

wrong formula selected
bad converter box
bad egt probe

What probe/box/brand r u running?

The SCT EGT readings always seemed to be on the low side when compared to the Edge evolution readings at idle and at highway speeds on the same tune. Probe from both were in the same location as each other i've always let the EGT get to at least 400 before shutting the truck off and with the SCT it seemed like I could shut it off pretty quickly after putting it in park where as the edge I had to wait a bit for it to cool down but the slow to react problem occurred after the last firmware update. I guess I'm having a hard time trusting the SCT readings.

The EGT probe I was using with the SCT programmer was an SCT brand

When you say same tune but Sct and edge were different readings?

The Sct programs differently the. Edge so the edge might of just run a little more aggressively for the horsepower too?

If I'm not reading correctly my bad
