Well from the outside, it looks almost like a Stage 2 manifold that retains the EGR (except that there's no seam from welding the cut open runner back shut again). Pictures of everything is on our website. I have to say that for the price that smeding charges, I'll be surprised if you get a manifold without any soot inside it. It would be awesome if you did get a cleaned manifold, but I doubt you will. All of our cores are sonic cleaned before they go through any machining. Basically, our budget manifold is really nothing more than a post removal manifold with some very minor work done on the mouth area as well. On the outside, the fins get machined and ORB bungs are all welded into place. I'd also be surprised if you get anything but a manifold tapped for pipe plugs instead. Either way, we do charge a bit more than Diesel Dr (as they also don't clean the core manifolds). We do this because we feel we have a superior product to anyone else making ported intakes. Will any of this shake out on a dyno?? I couldn't tell you as there are way more factors at work than minor porting differences. It's just that our product is refined and is professional looking where theirs is more archeic IMO. Hope this helps. Like I said, it's all on our website in the link in my signature.
