SCT Question

My buddy rolled his '07 f-250, he had an SCT, he offered to sell it to me for $350. my question is will it work with my truck?

it will work if he "unlocks" it from his truck
but, by the time you buy custom tunes, you will be paying more than if you bought it new

I paid $400 brand new with 3 custom tunes.

I would, like dlonno said a new one cost 400 and that comes with a warranty and custom tunes

If you pay more than $150 for a used SCT then it's worth it to buy a new one. And more than likely the tunes will not work on your truck.
-Figure $150 for the tuner then 2 tunes at $80 your at $310.
-$350 for a tuner then 2 tunes at $80 puts you at $510.
-Buy a new one with 3 custom tunes for $430 and maybe upgrade to the Xtreme power for another $80 for a total of $510 and you have a warranty and 3 tunes.
