I think the 10k mod primarily applies to the 7.3, not the 6.0. If you are dragging someone then you can hold the brake and spool a bit and then launch bigtime. Plenty of threads on that; especially if you have 4wd.

if you want power from idle then you need a vehicle with a blower. if you want MORE power that's adjustable then a turbo is the way to go, you just have to sacrifice a little low end. in the case of the PSD, your stuck with a turbo. |

Shift into 4wd (hi), hold the brake and mildly spool the turbo. You will hear her whistle. Light turns green - stomp her - she will rocket off the line. It's a beautiful thing.
Dude in the Mustang next door wont know what happened as his girlfriend is laughing her a** off at him for getting beat by a work truck! |

Buy a 4" turbo-back exhaust, delete the kitty, and a flow through muffler. I have that set-up, and my truck will set me in my seat at a stop sign, without power braking. You have to ease into the go pedal on a diesel, or she will smoke like pig.

Whos tuning are you running on the X3

Also, if you have enough lag that you can count seconds before it starts to spool your vanes are sticking and you need to remove your turbo and clean it. With a good tune you shouldn't have much lag at all.
