New to me 06 f350 - shooting for 550-600whp what's needed?

Picked up a new to me 06 f350 today. Has quite a bit of work done already.
It's going to be on 37s as soon as my wheel/tire package shows up, and I'm shooting for 550-600whp. What turbo should I go with to start achieving this goal?

What mods does the truck have? Sct tuner? Exhaust? Studs?

No tuner. Truck is studded, egr cooler, ordering a sinister oil cooler and coolant filter.
Afe intake, 4" mbrp, aurora turbo, Afe charge pipe, oil filter relocation.
I know I'm forgetting things

This is all new to me. I have a built silverado 1500, but have been out of the diesel scene for quite some years, I've had 2 6.0s but never any engine work dome to them.

congrats and welcome to the addiction
you should be able to hit your goal with injectors exhaust and turbo. there are LOTS of threads dedicated to that purpose.
not sure what is done already but if you dont have a monitor that would be first on my list and you will want to look into building your trans as well at that level of power

Welcome to the sight... You have come to the right place to learn all about your truck. Excuse me if you have heard all this before but I am assuming you are new to the 6.0 powerstokre world because you just joined.

Have you done all the typical bullet proof stuff: EGR delete, head gaskets, studs, oil cooler, updates, etc...

Also do you have a good monitoring system? Like gauges, edge cts, or livewire. It is very important to monitor everything but most importantly EOT, ECT, EGT, Fuel pressure, Tranny temps, etc...

Then the very next thing that would be on my list is gears. It will be a great investment. You want your rpms to close to a stock ration (especially when going with a larger turbo). 37" tires on stock gearing will make a big turbo feel super laggy and lug the motor.

After 500hp I would start planning for a tranny. Some people have good luck for a little while but most people eventually blow up the tranny once they start to venture past 500hp.

A fuel system is also a very good idea. I know a bunch of people running stock fuel on 175s and 190s with no problems... but they are walking on thin ice.

After all that... Warren 190/75s with long side solenoid upgrade and a KC 68mm stage 3 turbo has shown to be a great way to make 600hp

I've been told to look into the garret powermax? It has turbo back exhaust already, and all monitoring gauges in place. I'll get some pictures of the engine bay and more specifics tomorrow.
My gasser is built and done, gonna turn that over to the gf and start another project

The powermax isn't much of an upgrade over the stock turbo, there are many vendors out there now such as kc, barder, mtw, and many more. It all comes down to what you want and what you think is the best option. I also agree that you should look into gears if you want to run 37s

400-450hp, with SCT tuner. depending on the health of motor, custom tune, and PCM strategy.
