SOUNDS LIKE A SLICK LOOPHOLE TO ME. I HAVE A FRIEND WITH AN 06 AND THEY REPLACED HIS AND IT WAS DOING EVERYTHING MINE IS, SO I AM NERVOUS WITH ONLY 10,000 MILES LEFT ON THE WARRANTY. AS FAR AS I KNOW EVERYTHING ON MY TRUCK SAID, "DOES NOT VOID THE WARRANTY"! BANKS, K&N, AND SUPERCHIPS.

im gonna get beat up over this , but feel it needs to be said , as per ford warranty (ANY AFTERMARKET ADD ON TO A VEHICLE CAN EFFECT WARRANTY STATUS OF SAID VEHICLE ),im sure someone is gonna come in and say (not per the magnuson moss act thingy , they have to prove it caused the problem), not really they dont , each dealer has its own say on wether or not they are willing to work with the customer , some will some wont , its up to the dealer , the problem is if they do work with you and then ford gets wind of the truck being modified , then the dealer gets charged back the claim in an audit times 10 , the reason its times 10 is because they say if you did it once then you have done it more than once so 10 times you get charged back for a fraudelant claim, now with that said , do i agree with it , no , but alot of dealers use that to keep there azz out of the fire , should ford pay to replace your head gaskets after you have modified the truck , no , but it is also fact that stock trucks have had head gasket failures , yes , in my opinion and i have a large one , when i pull in a truck that has a problem , lets say its head gaskets , and it has been modified , does it bother me , no , it means im gonna make 20 hours to fix it but not all techs look at it this way , some for one dont want to do the job, others arent qualified to do it or are scared to do it , so it get used as an excuse , the stealership gets beat up alot about warranty and modified vehicles , its really not in there best interest to help out , because it cvan cost them more than its worth to help out , im sure there is alot of grey area i havent covered but i hope this helps with understanding where the dealership stands
