03 - 07 turbo swap

Looking through the 6.0 mod forum there is a sticky for swapping an 03 turbo into an 07. What performance benefit does this provide?

I've heard that some claim slightly higher boost with an 03' turbo too.

But that sweet whistle is the main reason

I've heard higher boost on an 03 turbo, but with a programmer.

Obviously the main reason for this swap is the turbo whistle!

That 03 whistle makes it worth it I've also heard it spools a little faster

It doesn't really spool faster but it does have a slightly larger compressor wheel and make a little more power up top. The whistle is insane though.

Like everyone says the whistle is the main reason for the swap, but you are also able to squeeze out about 15-20 hp with the turbo as well.
