Tapping new intake elbow

I got a new intake elbow from cfmplus.com for X-mas . My question is this: can I tap this new plastic/carbon fiber elbow? It only has one bung in it, and I want to add water injection to my truck soon. Has anybody done this with success?

I don't know if its been tried. If it was me I'd try to return it and get the one that comes with 3 ports already in it.

You aren't going to notice a difference with the new elbow. I'd tap the stock elbow and spend the money on the water injection system.

I had the same one and it worked fine for my boost guage. Later on i added nitrous and it would leak around where I had drilled and tapped. I noticed no gains what so ever with this at all, MPG, power, EGT drop. I actually ended up pulling it off the truck and using the stock one. Also if you put it on use your stock elbow bolts and not the ones supplied, they dont seem to match the manifolds threads and can cause them to strip out.

Are you injecting before the turbo?? if so your going to ruin your blades. You should be injecting after the turbo. We have the nozzles right in the intake runner after the turbo. (4 cyl ranger diesel) in fact we have a nozzle right in front of every intake valve works great.

I'm going to try and tap it, and see what happens (don't wan to pay a re-stocking fee for returning it). I'm going to reinforce it with some plexi glass that I will form to the contour of the intake, and use an epoxy to set it. Then I feel there will be enough strength to tap and hold the boost pressures.

I will be injecting right into the intake elbow, before the manifold.
