Advice on best 6.0 tuner

I hate to start another thread, but i'm short on time and am trying to help a buddy out.

What is the best/most cost efficient/safe programmer for a 2005 F350 dually with the 6.0?

He hauls a Case backhoe on a 10ton trailer with it. He wants more throttle response at take off especially.

Not a heavy modification guy, he just wants a little more grunt. The more safe grunt the better!!

I'd help him with the other mod stuff.

Wildman? for 6.0? 6 position chip? Do they have it?

DP tuner? On the fly chip? Do they have it?

Is there a 6 position chip for the 6.0?

He really wants a flip chip. Cause hooking and unhooking programmers sucks.

The websites don't really tell you exactly what they have. SCT has custom turnes yes, but is there a flip chip?

Truthfully, he only needs 1 setting to keep his truck on, that increases his HP/tor, pulls his humongous load of a backhoe and trailer, and does it safely. any suggestions, would be appreciated. But the ability to throw some smoke would give the old man a stify.

REalize about head studs, etc.... and all that, just need REAL WORLD answers.

SCT, They do not make a "Flip" chip for the 6.0 though. If he only needs 1 tune then he just needs to plug-in the SCT, Flash the computer with custom tune, and unplug and throw in glove box. I would go with www.innovativediesel.com they have great service and tunes. He should be able to hook you up with a sweet tow tune.

their is no good flip chip for a 6.0L.....

and you do not want a flip chip on a 6.0L because the 5R100 trans has a learning curve.... everytime you switch to a diff tuner your trans has to learn all over again which takes a few hundred miles....

just have him get the SCT with custom tunes, gauges and be set.... if he wants the best thats the way to go... if he wants crappy shifting then a flip chip is what he wants...

sct w/ innovative tunes... aggressive tow w/ brake is awesome. would be perfect for you. as other said, get a hold of innovative diesel and you will be set. you will need a set of gauges as well. i'm guessing you could talk to raul about that

sct tuner with Cales tunes and he tunes the trans with the motor,for what you do.

All of the SCT tunes, and I mean CUSTOM tunes, will tune the tranny as well as the motor. Tell him not to even mess with the canned tunes that come on the tuner. Like the others have said for the 6.0L the SCT with custom tunes and a set of gauges will take care of your buddy.
