Is there something wrong with your stock 5R110? If I were in the market for a built tranny I'd check out NADP's race tranny. I know a few who run them and swear by them. I'd also talk to BTS and Suncoast as well before I made my decision.

NADP trans is what is behind Sean Ellertons 11.3 second crewcab.

Of those who've had troubles with their built 5R110's, the power at which they become unpredictable seems to be around 600RWHP. The NADP trannies are the only ones I've never read complaints about. Not to say they're bulletproof, just that I've never heard one single complaint on the boards... That's probably the way I'd go if I had the cash to spend.

I'd go suncoast myself, but I've been seeing more and more about the NADP ones too.

i know of a shop (extreme overdrive) in florida that builds a pretty mean tranny and of an awesome convertor man too.

Half of the problem with the 5R110 is tuners not knowing how to properly control the shifts. JW won't work on them anymore for big HP trucks he just installs a built 7.3 trannie. BTS does build a nice one.
